We want to be upfront about how FindMyHRT makes money, because trust is the whole point of a directory. This page explains our use of affiliate links in plain language.
What affiliate links are
Some of the links on FindMyHRT - particularly the "Visit" and "Get started" buttons for telehealth and menopause-care companies - are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for or purchase a service, the company may pay us a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you; you never pay more for using our link.
How we disclose them
Wherever we use affiliate links, we show a short disclosure right next to them so you always know before you click. These links also carry the standard rel="sponsored"marker. This is consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and disclosures.
Our independence
Being straight with you about this matters more than sounding impartial. On pages that list telehealth options, brands we have an affiliate relationship with are shown first. That is an ordering preference and we would rather name it than let you assume otherwise.
What a commission does notbuy: whether a provider appears at all, the facts we publish about them, or what we say about their weaknesses. We list and cover brands that pay us nothing, and we publish the problems with the brands that do pay us - including that one of our two partners dispenses compounded hormones rather than FDA-approved ones, and that the other is not available in every state. Paid "Featured" placements, where they exist, are always clearly labeled as such and are separate from our editorial content. You can read more in our Editorial Policy.
Not medical advice
The presence of an affiliate link is not a medical recommendation. FindMyHRT is an informational directory, not a healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified clinician about your treatment. See our Medical Disclaimer.
